Swahili is one of the most widely spoken languages in sub Saharan Africa, with usage in Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi and Somalia.
As such it is not only useful for traveling in Kenya, but also for those seeking work in agriculture or charitable operations in the above countries. It is now taught in a number of western universities including Stanford, California and SOAS, London.
The MHAC course includes 18 class room sessions, supplemented by day to day dialogue with MHAC staff, other (local) students and people in the community.
